Topics
This workshop introduces the fundamentals and applications of Hard X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (HAXPES) for investigating the chemistry and electronic structure of material surfaces, thin films, and their buried interfaces. It offers scientists, students, and researchers an opportunity to learn about the latest HAXPES developments worldwide, as carried out in the laboratory and at synchrotron facilities.
HAXPES techniques and methodologies will be presented in comparison with commonly-used XPS through multidisciplinary case studies in the fields of batteries, electronics, catalysis, and energy materials. This workshop will foster a deeper understanding of HAXPES and its potential to contribute to improve and innovate material-based technologies.
Selected and renowned international experts in the HAXPES domain will present keynote lectures on state-of-the-art HAXPES activities, opportunities and scientific challenges.
Please note that after 4.4.2025 90% of the participation fee is reimbursed and after 1.5.2025 or in the event of a no-show, no reimbursement is made. A substitute can be named at any time.
